Thicker, non-sprayable higher gloss alternative to our Outlast Tire Dressing
Limelight is a water-based tire dressing that contains a high percentage of silicone. This formula will produce a long-lasting, high-gloss wet-look shine.  When properly applied, Limelight will not sling off the tire surface. Since Limelight is a thickened, water-based tire dressing, Limelight must be applied directly to a tire dressing applicator. You cannot apply Limelight by using the traditional spray-on method due to its consistency.
While you can use Limelight on many exterior components such as trim pieces, outer plastic, and vinyl components, it is essential to note that the silicone in Limelight can run off during the rain or the next vehicle wash. Painted surfaces will become extremely difficult to wash, and silicone contamination can transfer into your wash mitt, wash bucket, and other essential washing tools. It is highly advisable to use Silicone for exterior trim and engine care since it is silicone-free.
    How to Use:
Always clean the tire thoroughly with a tire and whitewall cleaner. A standard washing solution WILL NOT WORK! A heavy-duty degreaser that will not "brown" the tire is vital before application. Please check out our Greenway's Tire and Whitewall Cleaner. Scrub each tire with a stiff tire brush after application of degreaser.
Allow the tire to dry completely. Once the tire is dry wipe, your finger on the sidewall of the tire. If you still have a heavy coat of grease and grime, repeat the above step one additional tire to remove all old silicone tire dressing before applying the new dressing.
Apply dressing with an applicator. Allow to dry shortly, and your vehicle is ready to be driven.
    Tires containing mold release procedure:
If tires are mounted on a vehicle that has been driven, use one of our
    premium degreasers
    to remove most grime.
Spray the tire and all surrounding areas with water using a high-pressure wash or garden hose.
Apply one of our premium degreasers and let it dwell for approximately 30 seconds.
Scrub with still bristle tire brush and rinse adequately with water.
Allow all tires to dry and proceed with using
    Greenway's Tar B Gone
    .
Apply to the tire by spraying directly onto the tire. If you have low profile tires, we suggest using an applicator to apply Greenway’s Tar B Gone. A towel can be used but will absorb much of the product.
Scrub with tire brush or terry towel. Using a microfiber towel will not give the “cut” a terry towel can.
Repeat the process if the film can be felt or seen on the tire.
    Rinse thoroughly with water.
    Tires
    NOT
    containing mold release:
Spray the tire and all surrounding areas with water using a high-pressure wash or garden hose.
Apply one of our premium degreasers and let it dwell for approximately 30 seconds.
Scrub with a stiff bristle tire brush and rinse adequately with water. We suggest having the appropriate wheel cleaning brushes in a bucket filled with water.  Having the brushes in the bucket will help create a foaming lather and spread the sidewall's wheel cleaner.
    Allow airing dry.
Check to make sure you have removed all residue. Tires should have a new natural look to them. You will need to clean brown-looking tires or tire sidewalls that produce dirt on your fingertip a second time.
Spray tire dressing onto applicator pad and apply onto the tire. Spraying a solvent silicone-based dressing directly on the tire will most likely create an overspray on vehicle components.
    Tech Tip:
Tire surface preparation is the most crucial step. Merely spraying a degreaser onto the tire and pressure washing off is not adequate.  Tire scrubbing with a stiff tire brush needs to occur for the product to adhere.
Spraying Limelight onto the tire will not only cause overspray, but driveway staining and slickness can occur.  A “ring” will form on the customer's driveway, which will be extremely difficult to remove and remain slick, especially during rainstorms.
Never use silicone in or around a body shop. Silicone will cause paint defects.
Never use Limelight on engines. Use Siligone as it does not contain silicone and will not attract dust.
Do not use Limelight on exterior plastics. While many users like a high shine on plastic trim, Next Generation will leave a sticky/tacky finish. We suggest using
    Siligone
    or
    Finishing Touch
to obtain your perfect shine. Siligone will give a new clean look, while Finishing Touch will leave a higher gloss.
Use Siligone when dressing large wheel well areas. Using the Limelight will cost more money and allow debris to become stuck to the wheel well liner.
Always buff down any “pooling” that occurs on top of the tire sidewall. Smooth out the dressing with a clean applicator or a microfiber towel to ensure the excess dressing is not present on the sidewall surface. Doing so will ensure all tire dressing absorbs into the tire, and no tire sling can occur.
Always allow a dressing to “setup.” Typically, a full gloss appearance can take several minutes to appear.
Load Range tires C (6 plies), D (8 plies), and E (10 plies) can be more challenging to dress. These tires are on heavier vehicles such as large SUVs and pickup trucks. You may need a second coat of Next Generation on these particular tires.
Never use Limelight on the inside of a vehicle. This product will cause extreme glare and slipperiness.
Using Limelight on plastic and vinyl components outside of the vehicle will cause paint contamination once rain occurs. The product will run down the vehicle's sides and then transfer into the vehicle wash bucket and mitt. Wash bucket and mitt will become ruined, and you will reduce the suds FOREVER in that wash bucket. You will “chase” the residue as the sticky substance will move among the vehicle surface. Another vehicle wash might have to be completed with a new bucket and wash mitt to remove contamination.
